Soils, Food and Healthy Communities

The Bezner Kerr Lab works very closely with the Soils, Food and Healthy Communities Project (SFHC). SFHC began in Ekwendeni, Malawi in 2000, working with over 6,000 farmers in more than 200 villages in Northern and Central Malawi. SFHC works on participatory projects, in which farmers work together to exchange knowledge to improve soil fertility, food security and nutrition.
